Steven Currie is a Soil Scientist within the USACE Jacksonville District Regulatory Division. He is a Licensed Soil Classifier in the state of South Carolina and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist with the Soil Science Society of America. His background consists of a foundation in research along with extensive experience in the private sector as a consultant performing wetland delineations/soil profile descriptions. Most recently, the past eight years have been spent at the USACE in multiple Districts and business lines including, Buffalo District Regulatory and Environmental Analysis Branches, Charleston District Regulatory Division, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Wetlands and Coastal Ecology Branch of the Environmental Laboratory in Vicksburg, MS and the Jacksonville District Mitigation Banking team. Currently he is serving as the Wetland Technical Specialist for the Jacksonville District providing technical and programmatic guidance to the Regulatory Division.
