When: Tuesday, May 7 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Where: Strolberg Wetland Bank

What: It’s not every day you get the opportunity to see prairie potholes, so consider this a treat! Located on the eastern edge of the Prairie Pothole region, the Strolberg Wetland Bank was constructed in 2009 and resulted in the successful restoration of 60 acres of depressional wetlands in ten separate basins as well as re-establishment of high quality native prairie. Biologists and engineers involved in the project will be on-hand to provide an overview of the design and discuss the challenges associated with restoring these systems as wetland mitigation banks.
