Craig Aubrey is the Chief of the Environmental Review Division at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (Service) Headquarters Office. In that capacity, he helps establish policy and oversees staff addressing issues such as mitigation and conservation banking, renewable energy, transportation, and implementation of the Endangered Species Act, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, National Environmental Policy Act and Clean Water Act.
Prior to working for Headquarters, Craig was the Field Supervisor for Ecological Services at the South Florida Ecological Services Office, where he supervised staff working in all areas of an Ecological Services Office. Areas of emphasis included: Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, Sikes Act, and Coastal Barrier Resource Act implementation. The SFESO also had active Contaminants and Coastal programs.
Craig has worked for the Service since 2001, starting out as an endangered species biologist in the Sacramento Fish and Wildlife Office. After working in Sacramento for 6 years, he moved to Charleston, SC, where he served as the Coastal Program Coordinator for 3 years.
